Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

Ronald Acuna Jr was a part of an unusual and scary situation at Coors Field as the Atlanta Braves were taking on the Colorado Rockies on Monday night. In the middle of the seventh inning, fans made their way onto the field and made contact with Acuna at separate times.

There appeared to be no malicious intent, but during the incident Acuna did end up on the ground.  One fan also attempted to take a selfie with the star outfielder. Following the game, Acuna revealed what he thought the motive behind the fans actions were.

Throughout the interaction, Acuna responded maturely by simply standing there and letting security handle the fans. Everything happened very fast, but he believes that the fans just wanted some pictures with him.

“I was a little scared at first, but I think the fans were out there and asking for a picture”

Thankfully everyone involved in this incident was okay, but the actions of the fans were not acceptable and could have potentially been dangerous.
