With one out and the bases loaded, Twins third basemen Royce Lewis was tossed an 87-mph fastball right down the heart of the plate. It's pretty obvious what happened next.

Lewis has continued his ridiculous pace of hitting grand slams, this time putting the Twins up 5-2 in the bottom of the third in Friday's spring training game against the Boston Red Sox.

Exit velocity was clocked at 109.7-mph on Lewis' bomb, which flew 425 feet.

Lewis already five grand slams in his major league career. He's played just 76 games including last season's six playoff games.

For context, the all-time leader in grand slams is Alex Rodriguez with 25. Rodriguez played in 2,860 total games in his career. That's one grand slam every 114.4 games. Lewis is on an incredible pace of a grand slam every 15.2 games.

Here's the rest of the all-time top-five and their pace:

  • Lou Gehrig - 23 grand slams - 2,198 games - 95.5 pace
  • Manny Ramirez - 21 grand slams - 2,413 games - 114.9 pace
  • Eddie Murray - 19 grand slams - 3,070 games - 161.5 pace
  • Willie McCovey - 18 grand slams - 2,596 games - 144.2 pace
  • Robin Ventura - 18 grand slams - 2,116 games - 117.5 pace
