The San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays game doesn't start until 7:07 p.m. ET on Tuesday, but starting pitcher Ryan Walker is set to do something that hasn't been done in nearly 60 years in baseball history.

Per @OptaSTATS on Twitter:

Ryan Walker has appeared in each of the @SFGiants last two games (1 start) and is set to start today. It will be the first time a pitcher has appeared in three-straight team games while starting twice since Rollie Sheldon for the KC Athletics in 1966 (max. 1 team day off).

This type of thing can happen easier now with the advent of the "opener" but it hasn't happened yet, so it's very impressive to see it here from Walker.

The 27-year-old is in his first season in the big leagues. To this point, he's appeared in 15 games (three starts), posting a 1.89 ERA to go along with a 2-0 record.

He'll have a tough test on Tuesday as the top of the Blue Jays order is one of the most potent in all of baseball. Featuring sluggers like George Springer, Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr., they are sure to give Walker a test.

This should be the start of a good series as well. The Giants are one of the hottest teams in baseball, having won eight of their last 10.

San Francisco enters the game at 44-34 and 2.5 back in the National League West.

Toronto is 43-36 and 10 games back of the Rays in the American League East.
