Twitter reacts to Dodgers signing Mookie Betts to 12-year extension

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers confirmed the club has signed outfielder and one-time American League Most Valuable Player Mookie Betts to a 12-year contract extension.

Naturally, Dodgers fans, lamenting Boston supporters and other members of baseball Twitter took to social media to react to the monumental agreement.

Some Boston fans who previously joked that the Dodgers would only be able to enjoy Betts for the shortened 60-game regular season amid the coronavirus pandemic ahead of free agency were forced to eat those words.

Others wished they could somehow take the original trade back.

Meanwhile, those who follow the Cleveland Indians couldn't help but wonder what this all means regarding the future of All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor.
