Two-time All-Star shortstop Trevor Story mad Rockies didn't trade him?

A plethora of big names switched teams ahead of Friday's MLB trade deadline that came and went at 4 p.m. ET. Colorado Rockies All-Star shortstop Trevor Story was supposed to be among them, but the Rockies held onto the 28-year-old even though he can hit free agency after the season and already has one foot out the door.

It seems Story isn't too pleased about all that occurred Friday.

"I’m confused and I don’t have really anything good to say about the situation and how it unfolded," Story told Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post.

Story had previously been linked with the New York Yankees and New York Mets in trade rumors, and Saunders added that the Chicago White Sox, Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays all spoke with the Rockies about Story ahead of the deadline. Colorado didn't drop its asking price for its coveted asset, though, and he is now on track to leave the club essentially for nothing this coming fall or winter:

While the Yankees reportedly were interested in shifting Story to center field, the Mets would've moved him to either third base or second base once Francisco Lindor returned from his right oblique strain in the first half of August.
