Watch: Al Michaels gives unintentional reference to the wrong Eagles stadium

Al Michaels is a titan of the sports broadcasting world and has been the voice of countless classic moments in sports history.

He has called Super Bowls. He has seen miracles

He is simply one of the best to ever do it.

But sometimes even the best have an occasional slip and that happened for Michaels on Thursday night when he turned back the clock and accidentally referenced being at "Veterans Stadium" for the Philadelphia Eagles home game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Veterans Stadium, of course, was the previous home of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and one of the forgettable, dual-purpose concrete cereal bowls that was constructed in the 1970s. Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and St. Louis also had them, but the Vet was probably the most infamous of them all because of the ferocity of Philadelphia fans.

Philadelphia fans were so wild in those days that a jail cell was eventually placed inside of the stadium

The Eagles moved into Lincoln Financial Field, their current home, at the start of the 2003 NFL season.

That Phillies moved to Citizens Bank Park for the start of the 2004 Major League Baseball season.
