The Philadelphia Phillies took a 1-0 lead over the Miami Marlins in the third inning on Monday night when outfielder Jake Cave blasted a moonshot to right field.

Cave hit the home run off of Miami Marlins starter and 2022 National League Cy Young award winner Sandy Alcantara. It was Cave's first home run of the season and came at a time when the outfielder was starting to struggle at the plate.

Cave's home run travelled 413 feet, came off the bat at 103.9-mph and had a 26 degree launch angle.

His solo home run was the first run of a five-run inning and was the catalyst for a strong offensive inning.

Philadelphia will look to capitalize on the Marlins series, despite Miami being a team that has historically given them trouble in the past.

The Phillies saw a shakeup in their batting order on Monday when manager Rob Thomson decided to hit Bryson Stott leadoff and bump Trea Turner and Kyle Schwarber down one spot. Nick Castellanos is hitting cleanup.

It appears to be sparking something in the early goings as both Stott and Castellanos have also recorded RBI hits in the third inning.
