Watch: Gleyber Torres' ridiculous snag helps Yankees turn 4-6-3 double-play in Game 2 of ALCS

The New York Yankees bats went cold in Game 2 of the ALCS, but their defense, mainly second baseman Gleyber Torres, tried to pick them up.

Late in the game, Torres made the defensive play of the series.

With the Yankees trailing by a run, Torres snagged a ground ball liner off the bat of Astros' Jose Altuve before pitching the ball to shortstop Oswald Peraza while falling backward to get the force out at second base. Peraza then tossed a low throw to first, which first baseman Anthony Rizzo picked nicely off the dirt to complete a ridiculous 4-6-3 double-play.

Torres' remarkable play ended the inning, keeping the Yankees' deficit to just a run heading into the eighth inning.

Unfortunately for Torres and the Yankees, the play didn't wake up the team's bats.

The Astros held on for a 3-2 win in Game 2, taking a commanding 2-0 advantage in the best-of-seven ALCS as the series shifts to the Bronx for the next three games.
