Woman denied permanent restraining order against Trevor Bauer

A woman who made domestic violence and sexual assault allegations against Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer was denied a permanent restraining order against him, multiple sources reported on Thursday.

Per ESPN, a "Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ruled against the 27-year-old woman's request Thursday, and the temporary restraining order against Bauer has been dissolved" because it was ruled "Bauer does not pose a threat to the woman and that her injuries were not the result of anything she verbally objected to."

The ruling ends a four-day hearing in which the woman testified about encounters with Bauer that resulted in her going to the hospital. It was originally reported Bauer would invoke the Fifth Amendment on Thursday but ended up not taking the stand at all.

The Pasadena Police Department is still conducting an ongoing investigation into the woman's allegations of domestic violence and sexual assault during two encounters with Bauer earlier this year.

Bauer has been on paid administrative leave by Major League Baseball and the MLBPA since July 2. His leave has been extended multiple times with the most recent stint expiring on Friday. There is no word yet as to whether his leave will be extended further since the police investigation into the woman's allegations is ongoing.
