Jamahal Hill is really banged up right now. He needs a few repairs to get healthy again. These are a few things that he’s dealing with right now. Hill said that he was dealing with two tears in his meniscus, a sprained ACL and a Baker’s cyst that required significant drainage. Those are the causes that has caused him to drop out of UFC 303.
UFC 303 card looks very different from the initial announcement. Once it was revealed that Conor McGregor had sustained injuries that would not allow him to face Michael Chandler. But he wasn’t the only fighter dealing with injuries as former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill was also forced to withdraw from his co-main event spot against Carlos Ulberg.
Hill (12-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) was looking to make a quick turnaround after losing to light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira by a first round knockout at UFC 300 in April. Initially Hill was booked to face Khalil Roundtree Jr but Rountree withdrew from the fight after getting busted for taking a banned substance. Ulberg, a rising light heavyweight, was called upon to replace Rountree, but now Hill will also be sidelined.
Unknown returns
Both Hill and McGregor has offered no time table on when they would be expected to return to the octagon. Never the less fans are eager for their returns whenever their comebacks are announced. Hill went to Instagram to show the fluid that was drained for his knee to give fans an idea of what he’s been dealing with.
