Valentina Shevchenko suffered an injury during her Noche UFC main event with Alexa Grasso.

Shevchenko and Grasso battled to a split draw, which ended in controversy due to a 10-8 score from judge Mike Bell in the fifth round for Grasso. Not only did "Bullet" not walk out of the T-Mobile Arena as a two-time UFC women's flyweight champion, but now she's dealing with a fracture.

Speaking to Jimmy Smith on SiriusXM's "Unlocking The Cage," Valentina Shevchenko revealed that she suffered a right thumb fracture.

"Final imaging report yesterday from X-ray and it just confirmed that I have a comminuted fracture, a comminuted fracture involving the base of the first metacarpal," Shevchenko revealed. "So, this is like a report what I have right now. A comminuted fracture is not that the bone is like fractured just in one line, it's kind of like when it's crashed in several pieces. So, this is the type of fracture."

During the time of her interview with Smith, Shevchenko said doctors were still determining if surgery would be necessary.

"Definitely, it's gonna be four to six weeks, it has to heal, the bone itself," Shevchenko said. "But right now, I'm waiting for what they came up about if they want to do the surgery to speed up the process of heal or just let it heal the bone by itself."

Shevchenko later took to her Twitter account and confirmed she will indeed be going under the knife:

Multiple outlets are reporting that Valentina Shevchenko will be out of action for about three months once the surgery has been completed.
