Cris Cyborg secured a stoppage win against Precious Harris-McCray in the first round to extend her undefeated boxing record to 5-0, raising question over her next steps.

That was Cyborg’s third boxing win since 2024, as she continues to expand her boxing career. Cyborg has been focusing on the boxing ring following her PFL win against Larissa Pacheco last year. The win added the PFL Lightweight Title to her list of belts, solidifying her as one of the greatest MMA fighters.

Cyborg Vs. Shields

She is now making moves in boxing. Cyborg landed numerous punches to stop Harris-McCray, who had no answer to the onslaught coming her way. Once the dust had settled down, Cyborg called out Claressa Shields. The latter is a three-weight undisputed champion, having won titles at junior middleweight, middleweight and heavyweight. The problem in making a Cyborg-Shields fight is the weight. If those hurdles can be overcome, then Cyborg wants that bout.

“Let’s stop the talk and make it happen—MMA, boxing, wherever she wants,” Cyborg said

“Only 5 boxing fights but I’ve already got more KO’s than @Claressashields,” Cyborg stated

The other alternative is to continue with her MMA career. Cyborg had been critical of the PFL for not getting enough big bouts. Before the Pacheco fight, she had been waiting since her Bellator 300 win against Cat Zingano for her next fight. Cyborg has said she would like to take on Sara Collins. The latter is undefeated with a 6-0 record, having beaten Leah McCourt in her last bout.

Other Options

Cyborg was linked with the McCourt fight, but her loss has given Collins the edge. Equally, Cyborg has said she wants to take on Kayla Harrison. The bout had been talked about during Harrison’s time in the PFL. However, Kayla left the PFL to sign with the UFC. She secured victories against Ketlen Vieira and Holly Holm to set up a title shot against the UFC Bantamweight Champion Julianna Pena at UFC 316. Cyborg is ready for whoever is next.

“I believe she’s gonna be my next opponent. She’s the next one on the line for the belt. Sara Collins, she’s the girl that beat Leah McCourt, she was the next challenger,” Cyborg

“Everybody knows Kayla Harrison ran away from me. You see Julianna Peña has been talking about this. You never know. I’m in the PFL now, I’m defending my title, but I don’t know. The opportunity maybe in the future, but for now, I’m focusing on finishing these next two fights and get into a different chapter in my life,” Cyborg stated
