The UFC is back to the basics after a momentous event held in Mexico City.

The promotion goes back home to Las Vegas where they will put on a show at the UFC Apex for a fourth time this year. UFC Vegas 4 takes place on Saturday, with a total of 10 fights.

Early on into fight week, there's been a ton of backlash regarding the Fight Night event. But, the negative attention isn't directed to the undercard... it falls on the five-round main event.

It's the heavyweights who will headline as Jairzinho Rozenstruik takes on undefeated UFC newcomer Shamil Gaziev.

Suriname's Rozenstruik has seen better days in the UFC as he is 3-5 in his last eight fights. 'Bigi Boy' is coming off a first-round submission loss to rising contender Jailton Almeida last May.

Gaziev, 34, enters his second UFC fight in the main event spotlight. Gaziev won a contract on Dana White's Contender Series in 2023 and followed it up with a standing TKO of Martin Buday in his promotional debut at UFC 296.

Rozenstruik and Gaziev have finished in all but one of their professional victories. Unfortunately for the men on the marquee, their high finishing rates didn't prevent criticism from the fans, who just witnessed two great main events at UFC Mexico last weekend.

"Nah this is the definition of slowing down," a fan reacted to the main event on 'X'.

"What a huge waste of a main event. This is a fight-night [prelim] bout and has no place on a main card,." another fan wrote on 'X'.

"Weird pick for the main event but overall it’s a really good card," via 'X'.

"One of the worst apex main events, but the rest of the main card is one of the better apex main cards," via 'X'.

"Disappointing main event. You guys really gotta stack these cards a little better," via 'X'.

"[Rozenstruik] is 1-3 in his last 4 fights," another 'X' user pointed out. "Gaziev has only 1 fight in the UFC. How are they headlining a card???"

"Main card lowkey good but crazy this is a main event," via 'X'.
