After an aboslutely dominant day for most of this race, Tanner Gray couldn’t hold off Connor Mosack in the end at Kansas. We’re going to see these two in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series later tonight.

It looked like Joe Gibbs Racing would just run away with another ARCA race. Tanner Gray is a very accomplished driver. He just didn’t have it when it mattered most today.

Connor Mosack gets the second win in a row for Pinnacle Racing Group, his family’s team. Last week it was Connor Zilisch, now it’s the other Connor. 86 laps of 100 laps, Gray led the race. After a late restart, Mosack made a move and didn’t look back.

Before Dover, Toyota had 14 straight wins in the ARCA Menards Series. Now, Chevy has two in a row and looks great. This was not the most exciting race in the world. However, the end turned out to be more exciting than it appeared it would be for 86 laps.

Connor Mosack has starts with Spire Motorsports, including the Truck Series race tonight, for this season. He also has starts with JR Motorsports coming later this year in the Xfinity Series. This could be a big breakout year for the young driver.

Last fall at Kansas, Mosack won in the Joe Gibbs Racing 18 car. Now, he’s bringing home a trophy for his family’s team in the same place.

Connor Mosack wins another oval race

Two ARCA wins in two years, both at Kansas, Connor Mosack is finding a groove. As a Trans Am driver, he is more of a road course guy. He has a top-5 finish at Watkins Glen in the Xfinity Series from a year ago.

So, it’s very interesting and very promising to see him win a race on an oval. Another race. He didn’t dominate, he had to be patient. One last adjustment on pit road at the last stop and Mosack was able to keep up with Gray all of a sudden.

No real big stories from this race except another part-time driver won the race. No full-timers have been able to earn a checkered flag. This Pinnacle group is fun and showing that there is a reason to watch these races to the end.

In two starts, Connor Mosack has two top-5 finishes now. He was P4 at Phoenix earlier this season. If he could find a little bit of sponsorship and run a full-time season in NASCAR, I think he could really impress. The 25-year-old will start fifth in tonight’s Truck Series race at Kansas, looking for another W.
