Corey LaJoie of Spire Motorsports will be sponsored by Chili’s Grill & Bar for the 66th running of NASCAR’s Daytona 500 on February 18th.

The announcement was posted across Spire Motorsports media outlets on Tuesday afternoon. Chili’s Grill & Bar, a fan-favorite casual restaurant chain with over one thousand locations in the United States and various countries, will make its first appearance as a sponsor with NASCAR. A scheme will be revealed in the coming weeks. Chili’s joins a small roster of restaurant sponsorship in the Cup Series with Cheddar’s (Kyle Busch), Hooters (Chase Elliott), and McDonald’s (Tyler Reddick and Bubba Wallace). Additional races will also see Chili’s as an associate sponsor of the team.

Corey LaJoie enters his sixth full-time NASCAR Cup Series season and his fourth consecutive with Spire Motorsports. He currently drives the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro alongside rookie teammates Carson Hocevar and Zane Smith. Spire enters a year of expansion with a third Cup Series charter and the purchase of Kyle Busch Motorsports.

LaJoie is the son of 1996 and 1997 NASCAR Busch Series Champion Randy LaJoie and the grandson of New England racing great Don LaJoie. The 32-year-old will be starting in his eighth straight Daytona 500 since 2017. His best finishes in the event came in 2020 and 2021 with an 8th and 9th place finish, respectively. Although wineless in his 236 Cup starts, Corey LaJoie continues his evolution in the premier league of NASCAR.

The 66th running of the Daytona 500 will take place on Sunday, February 18th in Daytona Beach, Florida. Corey LaJoie and 39 drivers will race five hundred miles in hopes of victory at the Great American Race. FOX will air the historical NASCAR event at 2:30pm ET (11:30pm PT). Radio coverage will be available on both the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM.
