Aaron Gordon ready to go 'all out' for Nuggets
After spending the first six-and-a-half years of his career with the Orlando Magic, Aaron Gordon is ready for a fresh start with the Denver Nuggets, who acquired him at Thursday's NBA trade deadline.
Ahead of his possible debut with the Nuggets, Gordon highlighted why he's excited about playing in Denver, via the Denver Post's Mike Singer:
During his tenure in Orlando, Gordon had just one opportunity to play in the postseason, which came during the 2018-19 campaign. The Magic were eliminated in the first round.
As Gordon joins the Nuggets, this is the first time he'll be suiting up for a team that has the opportunity to make a deep playoff run. Denver sits fifth in the Western Conference with a 27-18 record, led by potential MVP candidate Nikola Jokic.
Gordon gives the Nuggets some nice depth. The 25-year-old is averaging 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season while shooting 43.7% from the field and 37.5% from deep.
Gordon could potentially make his Denver debut on Sunday against the Atlanta Hawks, who he saw plenty of in Orlando.
