Bucks re-sign big man Serge Ibaka

The Milwaukee Bucks are officially bringing back one of their most fearsome defenders for the 2022-2023 season.

The Bucks announced Tuesday that they re-signed veteran big man Serge Ibaka, though the terms of the deal weren't released.

"Serge is an elite defender and shot blocker who will continue to add depth for us at center," Bucks general manager Jon Horst said. "He was a valuable acquisition for us last season, and we look forward to having him back in Milwaukee."

Milwaukee landed the three-time First-Team All-Defensive member in a four-team trade in February, and he posted 7.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 17.8 minutes per game over 19 contests (two starts) with his new club. Ibaka averaged 6.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 54 total contests (12 starts) last season between the Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers.

It was reported two weeks ago that the Bucks agreed to a new deal with Ibaka, and it would be a one-year contract.
