Cavaliers guard Caris LeVert is back on the injured list and will miss Saturday’s road game against the Detroit Pistons with a left knee injury, per the NBA official injury report.

LeVert missed two games in a row with the same injury a few weeks back. He struggled in the Cavs’ upset loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, shooting just 2-of-8 from the field.

LeVert isn’t one to make excuses so it’s hard to know if the knee may have been bothering him then. For the season, he’s averaging 14.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists, shooting 41 percent from the field.

The Cavs (10-9) are facing a dangerous opponent in the sense that the Pistons have lost 16 straight and are due for a win. So they will undoubtedly have to give a better effort than they did against Portland.

Forward Dean Wade (ankle) and guard Ty Jerome (ankle) also remain out for Cleveland.
