The Charlotte Hornets have scoured almost every possible surface in their search for Steve Clifford’s replacement. Former players have put their names into the basket. Notable coaches have also interviewed for the post. They flirted with the concept of becoming the first NBA team to have a female head coach for a while.

While the rumors seemed inconsequential at the time, it’s long known that Redick wants to dip his feet into coaching. The latest update regarding his status with the Hornets may have confirmed who will lead LaMelo Ball and the rest of the Hornets for the 2024-25 season.
