On Wednesday evening, the Chicago Bulls played their first game of the regular season when they hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder at the United Center.

The Bulls had a disappointing night, getting blown out by a score of 124-104.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a fantastic night for the Thunder, putting up 31 points, five rebounds, ten assists, one steal and two blocks.

Following the game, the NBA announced that Jevon Carter (Bulls) had been fined $2,000 for flopping.

Via NBA Official: "CHI’s Jevon Carter was assessed a postgame Flopping fine of $2,000 upon league office review for https://nba.com/watch/video/thunder-vs-bulls-10-25-2023… on Oct. 25 vs. OKC."

Carter signed with the Bulls over the offseason, so this was his first game with the team.

He finished the night with three points, one rebound and two assists in 16 minutes of playing time.

The former West Virginia star was the 32nd pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, and this is his sixth season in the league (he has played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls).

His career averages are 5.4 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 40.0% from the field and 39.7% from the three-point range in 305 regular season games (he has also appeared in 22 NBA playoff games).

The Bulls will play their next game on Friday evening when they host the Toronto Raptors.

Last year, the Bulls were the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference and missed the NBA playoffs for the fifth time in six seasons.
