Without a doubt, Luka Doncic is tearing through the NBA recently by posting consecutive triple-doubles. And while the Slovenian All-Star has his share of haters, Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd made sure to shut down one Detroit Pistons fan who thought he sucked.

Just recently, Dallas decimated the Pistons with a score of 142-124 . In that particular game, Doncic led the Mavericks by dropping 39 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Kyrie Irving added 21 points and five assist in almost 30 minutes on the court to seal the win for their team.

On the other hand, the Pistons were led by Cade Cunningham’s 33 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jade Ivey contributed 17 points, but committed six turnovers and had three fouls in Detroit’s loss to the Mavs.

This marks the sixth consecutive game Doncic posted a 30-point triple double. At the same time, the win over Detroit is also the All-Star’s fifth-straight contest of notching a 35-point triple-double. Both of these feats are NBA records under Doncic’s name.

Dallas Mavericks Head Coach Jason Kidd Blasts Detroit Pistons Fan Who Shouted Luka Doncic Sucks

While the Mavericks got away with the win, a Pistons fans made sure the winning team knew Doncic sucked by shouting it to the crowd during the third quarter. After the game, Dallas head coach Jason Kidd addressed the incident without making any fuss at all.

In a post shared on X by Brad Townsend:

“Kidd said he did not hear the fans chanting “Luka suucks!” briefly in the third quarter.

“Well, we know he doesn’t suck,” Townsend tweeted.

The Pistons’ fan was clearly coming from a place of frustration, especially after his team is tied with the Washington Wizards for the last seed in the league. At this point in time, both teams possess a 10-53 record in the Eastern Conference.

Despite Doncic’s recent brilliance on the court, the Mavericks have been struggling after All-Star Weekend. Hopefully, the team can turn it around and secure a playoff spot in the coming weeks.
