Damian Lillard has been among the best point guards in the NBA for nearly a decade.

This past year, the 33-year-old averaged a sensational 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range.

Recently, he was traded from the Portland Trail Blazers (where he spent 11 seasons) to the Milwaukee Bucks

On Monday, teams around the NBA held media day, so it was the first time Lillard could put on his new uniform.

Following media day, Lillard made a post to Instagram with ten photos.

There were over 596,000 likes and 4,300 comments in less than 21 hours.

Lillard captioned his post: "New Beginnings… "

The addition of Lillard gives the Bucks arguably the best duo in the NBA.

Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the greatest players of all time and is coming off a season where he averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field.

Lillard has never played with someone the caliber of Antetokounmpo but was able to take the Trail Blazers to the NBA playoffs eight times out of his 11 seasons (they made the Western Conference Finals in 2019).

Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo has never played with someone as good as Lillard but has taken the Bucks to the playoffs for seven straight seasons (and they won the NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns in 2021).

Last year, the Bucks had the best record in the league (58-24) but lost to the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs.
