The Chicago Bulls lived a nightmare on Wednesday night after the Brooklyn Nets dismantled them at United Center, giving them an embarrassing 138-112 blowout loss.

The duel between the Eastern Conference leaders looked incredibly good on paper, and to some extent, it was like that on the court. They battled it out in the first half, going to the locker room with a 62-60 scoreboard in favor of the Nets. The 3rd quarter started with both teams trying to drift away from each other, but only the Nets could do it.

DeMar DeRozan couldn't prevent his team from getting a beating at home, and showed his frustration with a towel, ripping it apart while sitting on the bench. The veteran swingman was spotted destroying the towel in a 'relaxed anger' moment.

The Bulls couldn't get the job done and seeing how bad they played after the game was tied at 71 per side, it's understandable why DeRozan felt frustrated with the development of the match.

In the 3rd quarter, the game was tied, and the Nets took off from that point on, going on a 42-8 run to leave the Bulls helpless, unable to come back against the Nets' Big 3 that dominated the entire second half.

The Nets won a big game, the first one against a top-4 team in either conference, which brings hope to the fans. Kyrie Irving could return to play home games and that could be a huge boost for them seeing how well they played against the Bulls, a direct rival in the fight to play in the 2022 NBA Finals.

DeRozan finished the game with only 19 points and 4 rebounds, looking nothing like the player who's earned MVP buzz in recent games. The Bulls still lead the East with a 27-12 record, but losses like this should worry them. If they aspire to come out of the East, they must play better against dangerous teams like the East, who are favorites to win it all this campaign.
