The New York Knicks and Jalen Brunson needed a 21-0 run in the fourth quarter, but they captured a Game 1 victory at Madison Square Garden in their first round series with the Detroit Pistons. Brunson scored 34 points, but it was a well-rounded offensive effort from the Knicks who had five players score in double-figures.

The Pistons return to MSG tonight with another opportunity to end their 14-game losing streak in the NBA playoffs, but the postseason experience on the Knicks roster will make it a tall task.
