Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic can do a variety of stuff at a high level on the basketball court. But one thing that he rarely seems to do despite his size is attack the rim and throw it down with authority. Fortunately for fans in attendance during Monday night’s game between the Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies, they got to witness the Joker do just that on the break.

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets Collect Another Win

That dunk was barely all that Jokic did on the floor against the Grizzlies. He finished the game with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists while shooting 11/18 from the floor in 31 minutes in Denver’s 128-103 home win.

With Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon sidelined with an ankle injury and a facial issue, respectively, Jokic was still able to carry a heavier load on offense, but he also did not have to do it all by himself. Reggie Jackson stepped into a starting role and fired 15 points, while Christian Braun had 17 points and five rebounds.

The Nuggets’ success against Memphis extended the defending NBA champions’ win streak to four games. That should be enough momentum for them to ride on heading into a marquee showdown on Wednesday at home versus a visiting rival in the form of the Phoenix Suns.

Denver is still seeking to lock up the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference standings as they are just a game ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder and one and a half games in front of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
