The Denver Nuggets and superstar big man Nikola Jokic are headed back to the playoffs. After finishing the 2024-25 NBA season with a 50-32 record, the Nuggets were able to secure the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
Jokic and company are looking to make a run back to the NBA Finals. It won't be easy, but the big man will give them a fighting chance.
Michael Malone is no longer the team's head coach. Denver made the shocking decision on April 8 and will head into the playoffs with David Adelman as their coach.
Despite all of the drama so close to the playoffs, the Nuggets are going to be a tough team to beat in a seven-game series.
With the playoffs arriving, Denver sent an epic five-word message about Jokic before starting their run.
In a post on X, the Nuggets sent their message about the 30-year-old center.
"Can’t forget we’re witnessing greatness," the post read.
Also, the post shared an awesome quote from Adelman about Jokic.
"He happens to have a skill set that's unworldly," he said. "Don't get tired of it, cause it's going to go away some day."
Throughout the course of the 2024-25 campaign, Jokic once again put up big-time numbers. He played in 69 games, averaging 29.8 points per game to go along with 12.8 rebounds, 10.3 assists, and 1.8 steals. Jokic also shot 57.5% from the floor and 41.4% from the 3-point line.
Now, the next game for Jokic and Denver are scheduled to play Game 1 of their series against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
