It looks ugly when a fan chimes in from the stands to tell someone on the team that they’re not doing well. That’s exactly what happened to Detroit Pistons general manager Troy Weaver when a heckler told him he sucked in his job.

Last season, the Detroit Pistons didn’t really fare well in the Eastern Conference after finishing with a 17-65 record. While the team was indeed young, Motor City didn’t really have a then-sophomore Cade Cunningham in the lineup due to injury. This led the team to spiral down the standings during the previous campaign.

This season, there was an expectation that the Pistons will somehow improve their performance and seeding in the East. Instead of stepping up, it looks like Detroit got a lot worse by putting up the NBA’s longest losing streak at 28 games, placing them in a tie with the 2014-15 Philadelphia 76ers.

Achieving this horrible record comes at a time when Cunningham is healthy but the roster itself is filled with pieces that don’t fit the third-year star. As a result, the Pistons have the worst record in the NBA with 11 wins and 53 losses, which makes them tied with the Washington Wizards.

Detroit Pistons General Manager Troy Weaver Deals With Heckler After Being Told He Sucked At His Job

Due to the Pistons’ poor performance in the past few seasons, unrest has slowly festered among the Detroit fan base. If a video shared by ClutchPoints on X is an indication, it seems fans have had enough of Weaver’s management when a Pistons heckler told him how he sucked in his job:

Weaver took over as the Pistons’ general manager in 2020 after he served as the Oklahoma City Thunder’s assistant general manager. Since then, Detroit has been in a rebuild phase.

It looks like the Pistons’ season is going to be end up much worse than the previous campaign. It remains to be seen whether Weaver will still be general manager for the next season or not.
