The Milwaukee Bucks are down in a 2-1 hole after their most recent loss against Pascal Siakam and the Indiana Pacers. This prompted Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green to call Brook Lopez out for his part in Game 3.
In that particular game, the Pacers took the lead by going home with the 121-118 win over Milwaukee. Myles Turner stepped up and posted 29 points on 40 percent shooting from the field and nine rebounds in 41 minutes. Tyrese Haliburton dropped 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 16 assists, while Pascal Siakam contributed 17 points and nine boards.
The Bucks, on the other hand, saw Khris Middleton finish the game with 42 points on 55 percent shooting from the field, 10 rebounds, and five assists. All-Star point guard Damian Lillard tallied 28 points, but only shot an abysmal 30 percent from the field in 44 minutes. Bobby Portis added 17 points and 18 rebounds for his team.
Indiana’s win in their own home court delivered the lead to them at the expense of a Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Bucks team. Meanwhile, Milwaukee needs to figure out how to regain the lead and take the momentum away from the Pacers before they go on the brink of elimination against them.
Draymond Green Calls Out Brook Lopez After Milwaukee Bucks Game 3 Loss
Milwaukee’s Game 3 loss against the Pacers garnered various reactions from across the league. Among those who gave their take on social media was Green when he called Lopez out recently:
“You 7 foot brotha,” Green tweeted.
The controversial Golden State star seemingly referred to Lopez’ inability to catch offensive rebounds against Indiana. This can be seen in the game’s final stretch when the Bucks’ big man was beaten to the board by different Pacers players, such as Andrew Nembhard. As it stands, Lopez averaged 1.5 offensive rebounds during the regular season.
After Indiana played with more intensity in the past two games, the Bucks will have to adapt by responding with the same kind of strength on the both ends of the court. Otherwise, they’ll find themselves exiting the playoffs earlier than anticipated, which would be a massive disappointment after the front office acquired Lillard in the offseason.
