Draymond Green expects to be 'extremely involved' in Warriors' offseason moves

The Golden State Warriors were eliminated from playoff contention with a 117-112 overtime loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. Now they're focused on the offseason and the year ahead.

After the loss, Warriors veteran Draymond Green said he expects to be "extremely involved" in the team's offseason planning after another disappointing season.

For now, Golden State's attention will be on the June 29 draft, where it could potentially own two first-round picks. It will depend on the results of the draft lottery, scheduled to take place June 22. The Minnesota Timberwolves will forfeit their pick to the Warriors if it falls outside of the top three.

After the draft, Kelly Oubre Jr., Kent Bazemore and potentially Kevon Looney will become unrestricted free agents and could sign elsewhere. Stephen Curry, meanwhile, will be eligible to sign a maximum extension this summer.

The Warriors have now missed the playoffs for two consecutive seasons after making the NBA Finals five years in a row. Things will change this summer, but it's unclear how Golden State plans to get back into playoff contention with teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz running the Western Conference.
