Your Los Angeles Lakers came back from All-Star break and got right to business, starting off with a 124-111 win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday. Those who watched the game were able to gather some key takeaways from the new roster including the improved three-point shooting, deeper bench play, and fluid ball movement.

Former Lakers shooting guard Nick Young was among those viewers and took to Twitter to post his thoughts after the win, predicting quite the hot take if LA makes the postseason.

The Denver Nuggets currently hold a tight grip on the first seed in the Western Conference and boast a record of 42-18. Nikola Jokic is fighting for this third straight MVP and is also receiving tremendous help from former Lakers sniper Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, the high-flying Aaron Gordon, and a healthy Jamal Murray. They have solidified themselves as a top contender for a championship in the league.

On the other hand, the Lakers have dealt with multiple injuries, chemistry issues, and poor officiating that have cost them games this year and find themselves fighting to make the play-in tournament as of now. The West still is super close right now and, when he was healthy, Anthony Davis was playing at an MVP level as well but fans responded immediately and responded with backlash towards Young's tweet.

Swaggy P played about four seasons in LA and averaged 13 points on a team that was usually looking to tank. He was one of the bright spots on those rosters that struggled to string together wins due to his ability to heat up from beyond the arc and make big plays.

It is also worth noting that Young signed a deal with Denver just before he retired in an attempt to stay in the NBA one last time. However, the team had him suit up for just four games before cutting him so it's possible that Young's memory of this played a role in his recent tweet.

LA looks to continue their surge to a winning record on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks. With a recent injury to D'Angelo Russell, other players will have to step up big time as they take on the talented backcourt duo of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.
