If Vince Carter makes it back to the Dunk Contest this year, he may have some help from the man who was on the receiving end of his most famous slam.

Retired French basketball player Frederic Weis took to Twitter this week to hilariously suggest that the NBA allow him and Carter to recreate their famous moment in the 2000 Olympics during this year’s Dunk Contest.

Carter famously jumped over the 7-foot-2 Weis at the Sydney Games that year in a poster jam that went down in history as “The Dunk of Death.”

Fellow French player Evan Fournier of the Orlando Magic was one of many who got a kick out of Weis’ offer.

This week has seen some star players calling for the soon-to-be 43-year-old Carter to get one final shot at the Dunk Contest. An appearance together with the now-42-year-old Weis would certainly be one heck of a sight to behold.
