The season will be on the line for the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday when they take on the Sacramento Kings in a win-or-go-home Play-In war . These two teams battle it out for the right to face either the New Orleans Pelicans or the Los Angeles Lakers for the eighth and final seed for the Playoffs.

A loss for the Warriors means the season is over for them. It’s also very much possible that this ends up being Klay Thompson’s final game in a Dubs uniform.

Golden State Warriors News: Klay Thompson Reveals Mentality Entering Tuesday’s Game

During Tuesday morning’s shootaround, Thompson was faced with the prospect of potentially playing his final game for Golden State. When asked if all this has crept into his mind heading into the postseason, the five-time All-Star provided a defiant response:

“No. That’s life, man,” Thompson said. “… Had so much success here, I’m not gonna let whatever future happens make me salty about what I’ve been able to accomplish in a Warriors uniform. I don’t let that seep in at all.”

Thompson will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, which means that unless he is able to sign a contract extension with the Warriors, he could very well be suiting up for another team in 2024-25.

For their part, De’Aaron Fox and the Kings will be looking to make sure that Thompson potentially ends his Warriors career in heartbreaking fashion.
