Gui Santos was the 55th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and spent last year playing in the G League for the Santa Cruz Warriors.  

On Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors officially announced that they had signed Santos to a contract.   

In addition, he will be assigned to Santa Cruz. 

Via Warriors PR: "The Golden State Warriors have signed forward Gui Santos, it was announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released. Santos has subsequently been assigned to the team's G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors."

Last season, Santos averaged 8.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 32.8% from the three-point range in 17 Showcase Cup games. 

He also averaged 12.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range in 26 G League regular season games. 

ESPN's Kendra Andrews and Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the deal is for three years.

Via Johnson on Monday: "Sources confirm the Warriors are signing Gui Santos to a three-year contract. Santos had to receive a guaranteed 15-man roster spot to be bought out of his contract in Brazil. 

The date for the Warriors to add a 14th player to the roster is tomorrow"

The Warriors are 6-2 in their first eight games and most recently defeated the Detroit Pistons by a score of 120-109 (on Monday in Detroit).
