Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett slams Kyrie Irving for stomping on Celtics logo

The 21-year-old Boston Celtics fan who threw a water bottle at Nets star Kyrie Irving after Brooklyn's 141-126 Game 4 win at TD Garden is facing assault and battery charges and will be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Tuesday.

Hall of Famer and Celtics legend Kevin Garnett believes another classless act committed by Irving is not receiving nearly as much attention.

Before having a water bottle thrown at him as he walked to the locker room, Irving went out of his way to stomp on the Celtics logo and drag his foot across it.

Garnett called out Irving via Instagram on Monday, calling for both fans and players to show more respect as the playoffs roll on. The 2008 NBA champion said "all of us need to be better," making it abundantly clear that he does not condone a water bottle being thrown at Irving.

Garnett is one of the most beloved players in Celtics history, so it's no surprise he defended his former team.

The 15-time All-Star spent six seasons with the Celtics, winning an NBA title in 2008. He also spent time with the Minnesota Timberwolves and, ironically, the Brooklyn Nets
