Hawks' John Collins listed as 'questionable' for Game 1 against Heat
According to The Athletics' Shams Charania, Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins could be ready to play in Game 1 against the No. 1 Miami Heat on Sunday.
Collins has been out of action since March 11 with foot and finger injuries.
Collins' return could be significant for the Hawks, which will likely be without center Clint Capela for the entire Heat series.
After reportedly playing through pain for several weeks, Collins was shut down on March 17, officially listed as out indefinitely.
Collins was diagnosed with a plantar fascia tear in his right foot. While an X-ray came back negative, there was reported damage to the finger.
"It's obviously not perfect, to say it in the simplest of sense," Collins told The Athletic in March. "It's obviously tough to play basketball with this."
The 24-year-old Collins averaged 16.2 PPG and 7.8 rebounds in just over 30.8 minutes per game for the Hawks this season.
A first-round pick by Atlanta in 2017, Collins has spent five seasons with the Hawks, averaging 16.5 PPG and 8.3 rebounds.
