Hawks center Clint Capela missed last night's game against the Cavaliers and on the injury report earlier today was being listed as questionable for tomorrow's game vs the Pistons. Tonight, Atlanta provided an injury update on Capela:

"Center Clint Capela, who missed last night’s game at Cleveland due to left knee soreness, underwent an MRI earlier today at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. He has been diagnosed with a left knee bone bruise. His status is day-to-day, and he is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game vs. Detroit."

First, it is good that there is not a serious injury to Capela's knee. It will be worth keeping an eye on his status going forward and if his status changes at all. Hopefully, Capela will be able to return sooner than later and be healthy.

Bogdanovic (right ankle inflammation), and Hunter (right knee soreness) are both listed as questionable for tomorrow while Jalen Johnson, Kobe Bufkin, Mouhamed Gueye, and AJ Griffin (personal reasons) have all been ruled out.

It would obviously be huge news if all three of these players sat out. While the Pistons are a historically awful team, those are three important players that the Hawks would have the impossible task of replacing.

While Atlanta did have Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Hunter, Saddiq Bey, and Onyeka Okongwu last night vs the Cavs, their bench was depleted. Bruno Fernando, Patty Mills, Garrison Matthews, Wesley Matthews, and Trent Forrest were the guys off the bench for the Hawks last night. That is not a position that Atlanta wants to be in and depending on how the injury report shakes out tomorrow, that is what could happen.

If those guys were to sit out, that would be a huge opportunity for the Pistons to try and end their long losing streak. The Pistons have been a historically awful team in Monty Williams's first season.

As tough of a season as it has been for the Hawks, Trae Young has been playing very well. He has scored at least 35 points in three straight games and given who his opponent is tomorrow, I would say that he has a strong chance of continuing that streak.
