Heat have been 'concerned for months' about Tyler Herro's personal life?

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has struggled mightily as of late during his sophomore season in the NBA ,and the club has reportedly been concerned about him for a while.

In a recent episode of the "Inside the Paint" podcast, hosts Ethan Skolnick and Ira Winderman revealed that the Heat have been concerned about Herro's growing celebrity status and his personal life as of late.

Skolnick said, per Yahoo Sports:

"Everybody is entitled to their own personal life, and we don't try to bring it up. And, look, the greatest player in Miami Heat history, there was a lot of stuff that we knew about that we didn't talk about. It's just the way that this played out. And he grew through some things. And we all know who we're both talking about. But ultimately, the team starts to get a certain level of concern. In this particular case, the team has been concerned now for months. And that's kind of where it's at. But they were concerned with players during the big-three era. But this one is different, because this kid is 21."

Considering the concern, it's possible the team is asking questions about how Herro's personal life is affecting his play on the court.

The 21-year-old is averaging 14.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game this season while shooting 42.2% from the field and 33.1% from deep. However, over his past four games, he has only logged one double-digit scoring performance.

Only time will tell if Herro is able to refocus and regain the success he found during most of his young career. Miami is seventh in the Eastern Conference, and Herro's play will be crucial as the playoffs draw near.
