Prior to the Suns’ meeting with the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night, reports surfaced of an altercation involving Drew Eubanks, who allegedly received a punch to the face from Isaiah Stewart.

The cause of this incident remains unclear. Shams Charania of The Athletic has verified that the NBA anticipates receiving footage of the altercation.

Notably, Stewart and Eubanks have never been teammates, and there has been no prior indication of animosity between the two.

Eubanks is still expected to play as he was not included on the Suns injury report. The 27-year-old spoke on the incident pregame, noting, “Words were said, I got sucker punched, and security intervened.”
