In the NBA, if winning the title is one dream then, being on the NBA2K cover is another. NBA’s very own game imitation always picks up the best player of the season for their cover. Sharing such a stage with NBA legends like Kobe Bryant and others from the past 2K covers is no less than an honor.

The 2023-2024 NBA Champion Jayson Tatum was recently unveiled as the NBA 2K25 cover. To be able to make his dream come true Tatum was no less than emotional getting this message delivered especially on his birthday.

I got kinda teary like I cried a little bit because I had it in my checklist of dreams to be on the NBA 2K cover someday...I was just overwhelmed and happy that something I dreamed about came true. Jayson Tatum said on Old Man and Three podcast

Having worked through criticism and leading his team to the NBA finals this year, the Celtics’ guard’s reputation has soared higher after being on the cover. With millions to buy and play the game next year, his achievements will reflect every time someone plays the game.

Often being in the debates and controversy the Celtics superstar has now a title under their belt. Selected to be on the cover of the NBA’s official game while it is his childhood dream, Tatum is surely ticking his childhood checklist one by one.

Jayson Tatum couldn’t believe Jrue Holiday was traded to Boston

Going into his 3rd season with the Bucks, Jrue Holiday was traded to Boston, who was believed to be the most crucial for Celtics win. This trade has the implications of being the best the Bucks could have done for the Celtics to help them win the title.

An NBA trade comes with a lot of back-end processes and can’t happen with both parties having an advantage out of it. Similarly adding Holiday to their lineup helped the Celtics win their 18th title this season. Holiday being the perfect role player can come off the bench and start as well. Keeping his versatility in mind, the Celtics management made the best call to sign him.

I couldn't believe Milwaukee let him go, thanks to the Bucks, I was surprised this happened. Jayson Tatum added

Having blended perfectly with Jaylen Brown, and Tatum, Holiday made the perfect teammate and roleplayer for the Celtics. It was partly sad on Holiday’s part that he wanted to retire with the Bucks but, now at least he has a ring added to his belt.
