Jayson Tatum calls out Cowboys star Micah Parsons ahead of Celtics-Heat series

Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons is making the rounds this NFL offseason, both putting in work ahead of the upcoming season and enjoying a bit of downtime when he can.

After showing up to the second-round NBA Playoff matchup between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics and opting to wear Sixers gear, Parsons traveled to Boston to watch the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Miami Heat. Prior to the game, the Cowboys linebacker was spotted on video chatting with Celtics star Jayson Tatum, who was quick to point out that he remembered Parsons wearing a Sixers jersey and rooting against his team.

After Tatum called out the NFL star, stating that "last time I saw you, you had a Philly jersey on," Parsons vowed that he was pulling for Tatum and the Celtics in Game 1 against the Heat. The Cowboys star pointed the blame for his Sixers jersey on Michael Rubin, the former part-owner of the team, who sold his stake in the franchise in 2022.

Parsons went for it here, also telling Tatum he wanted a jersey, which the Celtics star said he could do. Unfortunately for Parsons, after being at a thrilling overtime game between the Sixers and Celtics last time, he was on the side unable to pull out a victory in Game 1 on Wednesday night. The Celtics fell to the Miami Heat thanks to a fury second-half rally behind Jimmy Butler.

The real question now is whether Parsons was able to get the Tatum jersey he was eyeing prior to tip-off. It appears we may see Parsons at another NBA game or two as the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Finals roll on with the NBA Finals on the horizon.
