Jimmy Butler misses second straight game with sore foot

Miami Heat All-Star Jimmy Butler missed Thursday's game versus the Milwaukee Bucks because of a sore foot. The 30-year-old was also absent from the club's victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.

Per ESPN's Nick Friedell, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters Butler underwent an MRI and an X-ray to try to determine the cause of the issue.

"And at this point it's rest and recovery," Spoelstra added.

The five-time All-Star has played twice during the NBA restart held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Following Thursday's action, Miami will have four games left on its schedule before the postseason, so Spoelstra may elect to sit Butler ahead of a tournament that won't include home-court advantage with games played on neutral ground.
