Jimmy Butler offers intriguing $699 challenge

After losing in the NBA Finals earlier this summer, Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler has spent this offseason preparing to make another championship run. While Butler has been garnering attention for trying to recruit Damian Lillard to the Heat, he is also preparing to host his basketball camp in Fort Lauderdale.

The camp takes place on August 26 and 27. It costs $349 for campers to attend. Butler offers an additional experience for campers and parents on top of that. He is providing the opportunity for fans to play a game of one-on-one basketball against him, but there's a catch. The price of this game is an added $699.

If any fans have a little extra money on their hands, they will have a chance to play against the All-Star forward. However, Butler is one of the toughest and most competitive players in the NBA. He is unlikely to go easy on any opponent and as one of the league's best defenders, it will be nearly impossible for the average player to score on him.

Playing one-on-one against Butler might lead to embarrassment on the basketball court. That being said, is it worth it, even for the high price of $699?

Some things fans need to consider if they are serious about facing Butler is what they will get in return.

There are benefits beyond the game of one-on-one. The fan who pays up will receive other bonuses, such as being able to take a picture with Butler and save photos from the game.

The other incentive is the small possibility of scoring on Butler. If a fan were able to make any lucky shot in a one-on-one showdown, they would have huge bragging rights. For some, that might make it worth the investment.

The biggest selling point for Butler's offer are memories. Butler is inviting fans to create once-in-a-lifetime memories by playing against him. To many, memories are priceless. For those who can afford it, Butler's offer would seem absolutely worth every penny.
