Fans of the Washington Wizards were stunned by the details of the Bradley Beal trade to the Phoenix Suns. One NBA player’s reaction stood out on social media.

New York Knicks’ Josh Hart shared every Wizards fan’s reaction by tweeting, “They didn’t get a single 1st rd pick??”

The impending trade is not official yet, but the teams have set the parameters.

The Suns will receive Beal, and in return, the Wizards expect to get veteran point guard Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, first-round draft pick swaps in 2024 and 2026, and a multitude of second-round picks.

The pick swaps are pointless at this juncture. Washington can swap first-round picks with the Suns for a higher draft pick.

However, the Suns expect to be contenders for the NBA championship, as Beal will join superstars Kevin Durant and Devin Booker and 2018 No. 1 overall pick DeAndre Ayton.

Meanwhile, the Wizards are starting a rebuild that certainly will position the team in the lottery for the next couple of seasons. So barring an unforeseen turn of events, the Wizards will come out of the beal trade without getting a single first-round draft pick. Thus Josh Hart had the most appropriate reaction to the Beal trade.

Coincidentally, Hart is a native of Silver Spring, Maryland, right outside of the nation’s capital. He played high school basketball at Sidwell Friends in Washington, D.C. Hart has become a social media darling, but his reaction to the trade was more relatable for Wizards fans.
