Kings cancel practice Thursday amid multiple positive COVID-19 tests

According to multiple reports, the Sacramento Kings may be the latest NBA team facing a major COVID-19 outbreak within their locker room.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday afternoon that the team cancelled their scheduled practice for the day and its Friday game against the Memphis Grizzlies is now in doubt.

The Kings have faced the Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards over their last four games. The Raptors and Indiana Pacers cancelled practices last week "out of an abundance of caution" due to the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Sacramento is currently scheduled to play the Memphis Grizzlies in their next contest, which is slated for 10 p.m. ET on Friday. The Kings enter Thursday in 10th place in the Western Conference at 12-17.
