Lakers' Anthony Davis expected to miss at least four weeks with foot sprain

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis has a mid-foot sprain and will be re-evaluated in four weeks, the team said Thursday v ia ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Davis, 28, went down in the second quarter of the Lakers' 106-101 win against the Utah Jazz after landing on the foot of Rudy Gobert. After he was helped off the floor, Davis went to the locker room and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

While X-rays were negative, the MRI showed that the Lakers will be without Davis for another extended period. Earlier this season, Davis missed just over a month due to an MCL sprain. The team went 7-10 in the games that he missed.

Since his return, Davis has averaged 22.6 points and 9.3 rebounds, but the Lakers have still only been 4-6 with him back in the lineup.
