Anthony Davis left Wednesday's game with what appeared to be ankle injury after landing in extreme pain.
The injury occurred in the second quarter of the Lakers' game against the Jazz. Malik Monk drove to the paint and turned to throw a high pass to Davis, who skied up to reel it in. He landed on the foot of Rudy Gobert and immediately toppled to the hardwood in pain.

Davis stayed down for several moments, holding his leg and slapping the floor in frustration. He was carried off the court and back to the locker room by teammates, with one video showing him still in extreme pain even after he had left the court.

He received X-rays after leaving the game, which came back negative, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. McMenamin reports no timetable is known for a return, and that Davis will receive treatment over the All-Star Break and be evaluated from there.
Davis had scored 17 points in the game prior to his departure. He entered Wednesday averaging 23.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game over 36 appearances this season after missing significant time earlier in the year with a knee injury.
The Lakers sit at ninth in the Western Conference, part of the play-in picture for the playoffs.
