On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers  are in San Francisco facing off with the Golden State Warriors

However, they are playing without their best player LeBron James for the second straight game.

The most recent game James played was on Tuesday evening against the Oklahoma City Thunder when he passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the NBA's all-time scoring list.

James needed 36 points to pass Abdul-Jabbar, and he finished the night with 38.

James is now on the verge of climbing another all-time list, as he is currently tied with Jason Terry for tenth on the all-time games played list (1,410 regular season games).

Therefore, the next time that James plays, he will move ahead of Terry for sole possession of the tenth spot.

The following person for him to pass on the list will be Kevin Willis, who played 1,424 games.

Robert Parish is the all-time leader for games played (1,611), so James is currently 201 regular season games behind.

At 38, he is in his 20th season in the NBA but is currently playing like a top-ten player with averages of 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists per contest.

This is one of the best scoring years of his career, as he has only averaged 30+ points per contest in a season three times (out of the last 19).

The Lakers came into the matchup with the Warriors as the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 25-31 record in 56 games.

James is in his fifth season with the franchise and has also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
