Metta World Peace knows why the Lakers are losing

Off to a dismal 1-7 start to the season, Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace has an explanation for the Lakers' slow start, which can only be described as "classic Metta."

"Some of the guys forgot how we got the lead, kind of like a fish," World Peace said. "You know how fish dig their thing in 30 second intervals? Then run into a mirror. Then they go, ‘Oh, that hurt…’ Sometimes we forget and the fish brain comes out. Maybe they ate too much sushi. Maybe they should just stick to the red meat. Maybe just be vegan."

This curious explanation comes from World Peace on the heals of 101-99 loss to the Orlando Magic Wednesday night. World Peace played 27 minutes in the loss, scoring nine points.

This is World Peace's first season back with the Lakers after playing with them from 2009 to 2013.

As for World Peace's explanation, we're still not sure what it all means, but we do know one thing: This is Metta World Peace's world, and we just live in it.
