Coming off a three-game away swing, the Brooklyn Nets briefly went back home to take a needed break before they hit the road once again for the next three games.
While most of the squad took it as an opportunity to rest and absorb a breather, Mikal Bridges spent his off day immersing himself with kids in the Brooklyn community.
Back to school for kids’ joy
On Monday, the Nets star swingman took a stop at P.S. 134 — a public school situated in Brooklyn.
Partnered with the Nets organization and the NBA Cares Foundation, Bridges made a tour around the school and spent his free time bonding and hanging around with kids. He even joined the children's classes for mathematics, music, physical education, and social studies.
Perhaps the ultimate highlight of Mikal's adorable visit at P.S. 134 was the instruction on how to do the “Celly” celebration. It is notably the Nets star's go-to gesture every time he drains a three-point field goal.
Back in action
Following this wholesome off-court service, Mikal will to the hardwood with the Nets on Wednesday against the Orlando Magic to mark the fourth stop of the six-game road trip.
Bridges is coming off to a 25-point performance to help the Nets carve a 120-101 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night.
The Nets (26-39) currently occupy the 11th place in the Eastern Conference and are 3.5 games away from the last Play-In spot.
