If you're looking to possess a remarkable piece of history, don't miss out on the opportunity to participate in the Lelands.com auction for a 1971 championship ring. This precious artifact hails from the legendary Bucks team, led by none other than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, that achieved an unforgettable sweep against the Baltimore Bullets in the NBA Finals to clinch the title.

This remarkable piece bears the NBA logo and is uniquely embellished with the inscription "20 straight," honoring the winning streak achieved by the eventual champions from February 6th to March 8th of that unforgettable year. Another interesting feature of the ring is that it includes the name “Bob Wolf.”

Who is Bob Wolf?

Bob Wolf was neither a member of the Bucks roster nor was he part of the front office. Rather, Wolf was a journalist who regularly covered the Bucks for the Milwaukee Journal. Wolf was one of the best journalists of his time and worked for Milwaukee Journal for nearly 40 years. Aside from the Bucks, he also covered the Braves while they were in town, which included the team’s World Series win in 1957. He passed away in 2003.

Incredible Bucks squad

The 1971 Bucks squad was dominant in every sense of the word. Not only were they the highest-scoring squad in the 17-team league, but they also played the stingiest defense, holding opponents down to just 106 points per game. Led by Abdul-Jabbar, who averaged 31.7 points and 16.0 rebounds, the team breezed through the playoffs en route to the crown.

They defeated the San Francisco Warriors, 4-1, in the West semis, before defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, 4-1, in the West Finals.
